Finding a signature Hygge scent for your home!

What are Hygge scents? Do they already exist or can we create them? Generally, Hygge scents are the ones that tell us to put our guards down. One common feeling that people experience is that hygge smells remind them of safety and being cared for. The smell of petrol is one of the most common Hygge smells. Fresh coffee, the smell of cooking, baking, fresh laundry, specific incense sticks, or scented candles. And then of course you have the celebrity status like good fragrances like – the smell of the mud after the first rain or fresh cookies coming out of the oven. In many ways, these are the scents we can create or buy ready-made!

When we say these scents are adamant because they occupy spaces like curtains, carpets, cushions, and pillows. You might not notice it because your sense of scent is already comfortable with it, but the newcomers, your guests are smelling it, every time they come home.

Think about the mood you want to set in your home


Want to create a relaxing, calm atmosphere, full of chill vibes? Try notes of lavender.

Trouble concentrating? Bring home some familiar scent of Patchouli or Tulsi

Want to say no to stress and fatigue? Try Eucalyptus or lemongrass or tee tree.


Mix and match baby!

 

You probably know this but you can control the fragrance in each room. Only if you pick and choose and mix and match! Why? They work differently in each room and together give an overall clean and good vibes home! 

Front door or living room – Have a candle or diffuser that omits inviting, and warm scents. You can go with vanilla or lavender. Or you can go with cozy notes like pine or sandalwood and invite people to relax.

Kitchen – This place may need the goodness of something like green herbs or citrus. 

Bathroom – Keep a diffuser with a scent of eucalyptus or sage to make the space feel open and chill.

Bedroom – Up for some good time? Go for rose, lavender, peppermint or even vanilla. If your bedroom is your fortress of solitude go for something relaxing Chamomile or jasmine.
